Benefits

Roasted chicory root coffee is naturally caffeine-free and rich in antioxidant compounds such as polyphenols, which help reduce inflammation and support overall cellular health. Roasted chicory also aids digestion and liver function, making it a gentle and nourishing alternative to traditional coffee.

Brewing Guide

Make just as you would make your coffee. For espresso we recommend using 20-22g in your portafilter (don't tamp too hard), and for a french press or V60 we recommend 18-20g. Drink black or with your favourite milk

Our pouches are specifically designed to lock in the freshness of our chicory, ensuring you enjoy its full flavour. While these soft plastic pouches are currently not home recyclable in Australia, we are always exploring how best to balance product quality with environmental considerations

Currently pregnant and off coffee, this blend is an amazing substitute. Funnily enough I’ll keep drinking once baby is out as it is so delicious! I use the espresso machine to make it the same way as my flat white

When I crave a coffee in the afternoon but don’t want the caffeine, chicory coffee lattes really hit the spot. I’ve been trying to reduce caffeine while breastfeeding and I’m so happy I found this chicory coffee! Besides the warm, nutty, slightly sweet flavor - my favorite thing about the chicory coffee is how easily it is to make. I add a few spoonfuls to my filter coffee machine and voila deliciousness every time.

A great alternative when I’m craving an afternoon coffee (hot or cold!). I like mine best served with tigernut milk and a dash of maple!

Loved the unboxing experience, the packaging is so chic. Really enjoyed the taste of it and was so amazed by what a rich crema it produced. It does split with soy milk, but I think it’s more a soy milk thing! I’ve mostly given up coffee but miss the taste so this is such a welcomed addition.

Have absolutely loved the Chicory as a coffee substitute during my pregnancy. Introduced it to my mum’s group and everyone is obsessed!

Is this Chicory Coffee organic?

Yes, our Chicory is sourced directly from certified organic growers in France. As a new brand, we're currently in the process of completing our own organic certification, which takes time to finalise. We expect to have this in place soon and remain committed to organic sourcing across our range.

Does Chicory Coffee contain caffeine?

No, chicory root is naturally caffeine-free.

How is this different from tea?

Our Chicory Coffee is made from roasted, ground chicory root and besan. It should be brewed just like coffee, rather than infused like tea.

What does it taste like?

Roasted and rich with mild bitterness, similar to coffee.

Yes. Many people enjoy it as a caffeine-free alternative to coffee.

What is your shipping, returns & refunds policy?

We offer free standard shipping on Australian orders over $89; under $89 is a flat $5, or $15 for express. We deliver Australia-wide, including PO boxes, parcel lockers, and military addresses. Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days. Standard delivery takes 3–7 business days to metro areas and 7–10 to WA, NT, and regional locations; express takes 1–3 and 2–4 business days respectively. You can add delivery instructions at checkout — orders default to “Authority to Leave.” Once shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking.

If your order arrives incorrectly please email hello@idylltea.com and we’ll make it right. Damaged or faulty items must be returned within 14 days of purchase — we recommend registered mail, as Idyll isn’t responsible for items lost in transit. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. We’re unable to accept returns or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases.
