Yes, our matcha is sourced directly from certified organic growers in Japan. As a new brand, we're currently in the process of completing our own organic certification, which takes time to finalise. We expect to have this in place soon and remain committed to organic sourcing across our range.

Yes, matcha contains caffeine.

A typical serving provides around 60-80mg of caffeine, which is comparable to a flat white or latte made with a single espresso shot. However, unlike coffee, matcha is uniquely rich in L-theanine, as the whole tea leaf is consumed rather than infused. In combination with caffeine, L-theanine promotes calm, sustained alertness and sharper focus, delivering steady energy with fewer jitters and a gentler comedown, making Matcha the perfect morning cup.

Matcha is made from finely ground whole green tea leaves, meaning you consume the entire leaf rather than infusing and discarding it. This delivers a more concentrated dose of antioxidants, caffeine, and L-theanine compared to brewed green tea. The result is a richer, creamier texture and a uniquely smooth, sustained energy profile.

Our matcha has a rich umami taste with a fresh, sweet finish. It's perfect for those who prefer a smooth profile with only gentle vegetal notes. Many of our customers are surprised to find that they are able to drink our matcha without any sweetener!

Yes, our matcha is excellent enjoyed over ice, either as is, or with your favourite milk, or even coconut water. It is also delicious warm, and can be made into a matcha latte.

We offer free standard shipping on Australian orders over $89; under $89 is a flat $5, or $15 for express. We deliver Australia-wide, including PO boxes, parcel lockers, and military addresses. Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days. Standard delivery takes 3–7 business days to metro areas and 7–10 to WA, NT, and regional locations; express takes 1–3 and 2–4 business days respectively. You can add delivery instructions at checkout — orders default to “Authority to Leave.” Once shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking.

If your order arrives incorrectly please email hello@idylltea.com and we’ll make it right. Damaged or faulty items must be returned within 14 days of purchase — we recommend registered mail, as Idyll isn’t responsible for items lost in transit.
